Child Safety Seat Program

RMF began a Child Safety Seat Inspection Program in June of 2003. Firefighters must undergo an intense 40-hour course through the American Automobile Association (AAA). During the course, the firefighter is trained in the standardized curriculum established by the National Child Passenger Safety Board (NCPSB).

We currently have only one firefighter trained as a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and the district plans to have more firefighters certified in the future.
